China Looking Out For Their People Better Economically
A friend of mine has been holidaying in China for the last 6 weeks and he has been amazed at how affordable their cities are in comparison to Australian cities. Eating out, food, accommodation, taxis, and even rents are way cheaper in China than back home. China looking out for their people better economically. Folk are quick to criticise China but economically for their people they seem to be doing a lot right. Whereas, in Australia and the West we seem to economically cannibalise our own. America and transactional Trump are the worst in promoting a dog eat dog attitude to making a living. The profiteering of neoliberal economic and political policies have been damning as far as promoting equitable societies here in the West. Why do super rich individuals and companies need more tax breaks when they are already making a motza?

China vs The West In Terms Of Domestic Economies
I mean, the inflation levels around residential property prices in Australia would be running at around 360% over the last 30 years. Property has become unaffordable for vast swathes of the population. Rents have sky rocketed too; and inflation on energy and food prices have been hurting folk for the last 4 years. When they say inflation has stopped rising that doesn’t mean prices have gone down, by the way. Neocons bang on about the virtues of the free market economy but nothing is free in the West, is it? No, big corporations with no competition in the market set the prices and we just have to pay them. Capitalism in the West is rigged these days by these companies and their mates in power. Monopolies and oligopolies have destroyed consumer power.

Neocon BS About China Muddying The View
It is hard to get a balanced view of China, here in Australia, because of the innate racism ever present. 10 years of LNP Coalition governments were quick to point the finger over Covid and any signs of China not toeing the American hegemonic line. We ended up with trade sanctions being applied in tit for tat exchanges, which cost Australia billions until the Albanese ALP government came in and fixed things. China looking out for their people better economically than we do in the West is something many don’t want to hear. The Trump tariffs are only going to hurt Americans domestically and other countries like Mexico and Canada who do a lot of business with the Yanks. It is not going to be a panacea for the working poor anywhere.
Trump’s America
Trump has aligned himself with his billionaire oligarchic backers in Big Tech and elsewhere. Deregulation is going to hurt ordinary Americans, as they lose the financial protections put in place for good reasons. Elon Musk and his DOGE are prime examples of corrupt forces stripping away the guardrails in the form of Inspector Generals at government agencies. If nobody is monitoring things corruption and kleptocracy will be rife. That is what Trump is – a grifter and convicted felon. The super rich are going to feast on funds previously reserved for the poorest Americans. If you didn’t feel disgust for Trump and his minions before you soon will. It is hard to feel sorry for Americans, as they voted a known product of dodgy provenance back into power. Stupid is as stupid does.
Rattling sabres over a totalitarian China is losing its alarmist power when your ‘so-called’ ally is backing Putin the dictator and Russian aggression over Ukraine’s fight for independence. Really, someone needs to take Trump out, before he starts WW3. That second American Civil War beckons. Something like 81% of all Americans do not approve of Putin and yet their President is singing his praises. What a f***** world we live in!
